It's that time of year again when thousands of choral enthusiasts congregate for their favorite event: the ACDA Conference! This year, our chapter will be attending the Eastern Division Conference in Boston, MA. ACDA conferences are always wonderful opportunities for students like us to broaden our horizons by learning about various teaching and conducting techniques, gaining exposure to new repertoire, making connections with highly experienced music professionals, and collecting knowledge that we can apply to our own lives as aspiring music educators. In addition, ensembles from many different parts of the world are invited to perform, and all conference attendees have the chance to hear a wonderfully diverse array of live music. We at Ithaca College are so excited to be traveling to Boston for the conference this year, and we hope to see many of you there!
Last year, our chapter had the honor of serving as the official bloggers for the National ACDA Conference in Salt Lake City, Utah, and we had a great experience and received a positive response from readers. This year, we are thrilled to announce that we will be blogging again! Each day, members of our chapter will be posting about interest sessions, concerts, rehearsals, reading sessions, master classes, and any other events that we attend at the conference! If you are unable to join us in Boston this year, or if you're at the conference and want to read about any presentations or performances that you may have missed, you can check out our website each day for new blog posts.
