Today I went to the middle school/junior high reading session! The session was a blast, and it was an honor and so exciting to be surrounded by so many middle school music educators! There were such great pieces from incredible composers such as Victor C. Johnson, arrangements of Ralph Vaughan Willliams, and even arrangements of the incredible Joseph Shabalala. It was a wonderful sense of community and music making. Major kudos to the planning committee. Check out this clip of our sight reading from Victor C. Johnson's "Things That Never Die" for three part mixed voices and piano. (10443547) -Rebecca Saltzman (President ICACDA & Senior)
