Josiah Spellman Jr. — Board Member at Large
Josiah Spellman Jr. is a Senior Music Education Major at Ithaca College who is in the studio of Dr. Brad Hougham. He is originally from the Bronx, NY and enjoys listening to a wide variety of music and teaching young students.
Josiah works as an undergraduate assistant for the Associate Education professor Dr. Baruch Whitehead. While working as the undergraduate assistant he is able to teach the West African Drumming and Dance ensemble at Ithaca College and be involved in the community group lead by Dr. Whitehead call the Dorothy Cotton Jubilee Singers where he serves as a vocal model for the community members.
He has also had the opportunity to teach both general music and choral music classes along with giving private conducting lessons across seas in Sint. Eustatius at the Seventh Day Adventist Lynch Plantation School. Josiah aspires to be an amazing music educator and seeks to spread the joy of music wherever he can.
