Keilah Figueroa - Fundraising Chair
Keilah Figueroa is a senior Music Education major at Ithaca College. She currently studies classical saxophone in the studio of Dr. Steven Mauk. Along with her abilities as a saxophonist, Keilah is also a classical vocalist. At Ithaca College, she has taken private voice lessons within the studio of Professor Tamara Acosta, taken classes in choral conducting under Dr. Sean Linfors, and performed in vocal ensembles directed by both Dr. Linfors and Dr. Janet Galván.
Along with being the Fundraising Chair for Ithaca’s chapter of ACDA, Keilah is a 3rd year Resident Assistant on campus, a Stage Manager for performances within the School of Music, on the executive board of Ithaca College Musicians of Color and Allies, is a member of Ithaca College Women in Music, and teaches private voice and saxophone lessons to students of all ages.
While Keilah’s undergraduate degree is focused primarily on saxophone, she has been able to integrate a large number of vocal courses, ensembles, and independent studies into her time here thanks to the flexibility of multiple caring and supportive professors at IC. After graduating from Ithaca College in 2019, Keilah plans to teach music in the northeast for a few years before heading to graduate school to obtain a master's degree in Choral Conducting.
