Laura Stedge — Board Member At Large

Xandry Langdon
Laura Stedge is a Senior Music Education and Vocal Performance major at Ithaca College, where she studies with Dr. Ivy Walz. Throughout her college career, she was a part of the IC Women’s Chorale from 2014 to 2015 and is currently part of the IC Choir, conducted by Dr. Janet Galvan, which had the wonderful opportunity of performing at Lincoln Center in the Spring of 2017. Laura also has the pleasure of being a part of the IC Madrigals, conducted by Dr. Sean Linfors. She took part in leadership positions in Mu Phi Epsilon, a professional music fraternity dedicated to community service through music, and previously served as the chorister and recognition chair. Recently, Laura has joined the Dorothy Cotton Jubilee Singers, a community spiritual and gospel choir directed by Dr. Baruch Whitehead.

Laura’s passion for singing and performing has also taken her to Italy, where she was accepted into Si Parla Si Canta and had the wonderful opportunity of performing operatic concerts in different theaters and developed a love for the beautiful Italian language and culture. She has an equal amount of passion of aspiring to be a music educator to teach all grade levels K-12, as well as students with special needs. Laura has attended the ACDA Salt Lake City National Conference, the ACDA Boston Regional Conference, the ACDA Minneapolis National Conference. Through these experiences, she has been incredibly inspired to accomplish many wonderful things in the choral world, such as conduct her own choir, join a professional choir, and change the lives of others through the powerful, emotional and joyful experiences of choral music.
