Maggie Storm — PresIDent
Maggie Storm grew up on Long Island, NY, and is an aspiring choral conductor and educator. She is studying Music Education at Ithaca College, and will be graduating in 2019. Maggie is also the President of the Ithaca College Chapter of the American Choral Director's Association. Her mentors include Dr. Sean Linfors, Assistant Professor of Choral Music Education, Dr. Janet Galvan, Director of Choral Activities, and Patrice Pastore, Professor of Voice.
Maggie is currently a member of the Ithaca College Choir, and has formerly sung with the IC Women's Chorale, IC Chorus, Longview Intergenerational Choir, and the Huntington Community Chorus. Maggie is also the Student Conductor of the Dorothy Cotton Jubilee Singers, an intergenerational choir dedicated to the preservation of the African American spiritual.
Maggie is active as a student leader, and loves her work as a Student Leadership Consultant in the Office of Student Engagement. She has also worked for two years as a camp counselor at New England Music Camp.
After graduation, Maggie hopes to continue to grow as a conductor and educator. In the future, she hopes to perform diverse and avant garde music with her various ensembles.
