Rebecca Kantor, Public Relations Committee
Rebecca Kantor is a Junior at the Ithaca College School of Music studying Voice Music Education, where she studies voice under Dr. Jennifer Kay. She is from Fishkill, New York in the Hudson Valley, where she graduated from John Jay Senior High School in 2018. She was a member of the NYSSMA Conference All-State Mixed Chorus in 2016 and the Women's Chorus in 2017, as well as participating in her Area All State Women's Chorus in 2016 and 2017.
Rebecca has been a member of the Ithaca College Treble Chorale from 2018--present under the direction of Dr. Janet Galván, and now under the direction of Dr. Hana Cai. She will soon be a member the Ithaca College Choir, and she was a member of the Ithaca College Madrigal Singers, both under the direction of Dr. Sean Linfors. She is a member of NAfME at Ithaca College, and a member of the Lambda Chapter of Mu Phi Epsilon, a co-ed international professional music fraternity, where she served as the Chorister during the 2019-2020 year.
Rebecca is very excited to be on the PR Committee for the Ithaca College chapter
of ACDA. She came to Ithaca College with a love for choral music, and received
the National School Choral award as a senior in high school. She plans to direct
her career path towards Choral Conducting and plans to conduct her own high
school choir(s) in the future. She can't wait to share her passion for music with her
students, as well as with her old and new friends in music education.
